Talking S-60 3RD EDITION...SYMBIAN OS 9.1...Fonts can be changed..!!!

Changing Fonts In S60 3RD Edition Symbian OS 9.1
Here Is Font One :- On N-80 It Looks Like:

please install this on u r memory card (SD card), and for removing this font :-
just delete the fonts folder on e:resource/fonts
then restart the phone and it will back to the original font
i have just tried it on my friends N-80 and it works.

I Will Upload More Fonts Here Later Regards!!!

Note by Supertonic: The install of the fonts is your own risk. We have no 3rd edition phone to test it. Also the fonts not in english (italian language?)

Great news if it's true

I wonder if the fonts must be compiled in a special way for the larger screen resolution or if normal S60 font packs will work if they are installed to the correct folder?

i dont think so normal packs will work for it.coz this font file is nearly 500kb.normal font files are way too small.

Have you check this way:

Menu -> System -> App-Manager -> font1.sis -> Options -> Delete/Uninstall

Hi. I installed this on my Nokia n80, but am beginning to regret it as I cant remove it! I've tried through the app manager and using various 3rd party file managers, but it wont budge.

Someone please help!!

Can you perhaps put the memory card in a PC reader and search/remove the file on your computer?

Ah unfortunately not, as I have just realised that I installed it to the phone memory instead of the memory card. I think It wont let me delete the files as they are in use by the phone. I dont know if i have replaced the original fonts?

One thing I did think of trying was installing a different font to the memory card, then removing the other one, then clearing my memory card. Only problem is I cant find any more fonts anywhere on the net for the s60 3rd edition.

I really dont want a trip over to my nearest Nokia service centre, as I dont wanna look like an idiot (which I obviously am)

Chance:
Install this filebrowser, y-browser v.0.50 for series 60 DP3 (for 3rd edition). Which this program you can find and see folders what the appmanager not do.

y-browser v.0.50 for series 60 DP3

I don't know if you find all files or the special files what you want, but better as nothing.

Thanks for this, but I have already tried it. I know excatly where the files are that I need to get rid of, but it wont let me delete them.

The files are in in c:/resource/fonts

I'm at a loss as what else to try.
